Step 2 : Elicit a positive response from the prospect, for what you say. But do not ever make any statement which you cannot substantiate.
Step 3 : Ask questions to the prospect which get ‘yes’ as answer and create an acceptance environment.
Step 4 : You are not selling the product at the presentation stage. However you have to give the benefits and features of the product, so that you are closer to selling the opportunity.
Step 5 : Follow up after presentation is very important and should be done within 48 hours. Without the “follow-up” action it is likely many prospects can be lost. His time of 48 hours is to ensure that the prospects will have sufficient time to make their decision. The most important thing to be remembered here is that you should not allow them to have too much time to receive a negative feedback from ignorant people around them and negative opinion leaders who don’t have any knowledge on the network marketing concept, products or services.
Step 6 : Do not be aggressive and pushy.
Step 7 : Normally a “three time follow-up” should give either a positive or negative result. More than this will demotivate and demoralise you. Everyone has a self-image of themselves, and have an idea about their knowledge. As an example, people who immediately reject other’s ideas would probably define themselves as having extensive experience, that they know
what ideas will work out for success and what will not work. A networker has to disagree with such people in a diplomatic way.
For the first business presentation in an arranged meeting, it will be advisable for you to accompany the prospects. If they are going to the business presentation avenue on their own you need to be at the venue of the meeting well before time to welcome them. If possible invite both spouses. Let both of them see the presentation. Avoid a situation where either of the spouse attends the presentation and gets excited but later changes his/her mind because of the negative influence of his/her partner who did not attend the presentation. It is better you inform the prospects that this is a business presentation and therefore they both preferably attend and avoid bringing small children to the venue of the meeting. Attending meetings regularly will improve the word of mouth communications with the prospects.
